At the Vermont Skills USA Conference on April 2, 36 students from the Center for Technology, Essex stood on the medal podium for placing first, second or third in their technical or leadership competitions.
Our Computer Animation and Web Design students are looking for a way to give back to our local community. As part of CTE’s Community Service Learning Days on Nov. 12 and 13, our students will be doing free photo restorations for senior citizens.
CTE held their annual Induction Ceremony for students who met the requirements for membership in the National Technical Honor Society on March 26th. Sixty students were inducted as new members of NTHS, while nine second year students were recognized as returning members.
Students in the Computer Animation & Web Page Design (CAWD) program at CTE were recently featured in the Burlington Free Press and on WCAX as they launched a balloon into space.

The Natural Resources Forestry Program was awarded a check for $3,000 to begin a tree nursery that will help the Village with an Urban Tree Renewal program. Awarded at the Essex Junction Board of Trustees meeting 11/10/2015.
The Arts Faculties of Essex Junction, Essex Town and Westford Schools will host the Annual Fine Arts Night, an extraordinary production that will feature visual art, music, theater and film created and performed by the talented youth.
Beginning in September, CCSU will introduce a new Online Student Absence Reporting form. To report a student absence, parents will be able to fill out the absence form instead of leaving a voice message with the school.
